According to it's website: "The Nicklaus Design Course at Puerto Peñasco cuts an emerald channel between rolling sand dunes and brilliant desert flora. Bordered on one side by the Sea of Cortez and on the other by a vast tidal estuary, the course is a unique beauty, and its challenging intensity equals the richness of its surroundings. Desert vegetation lines each hole, along with spectacular panoramic views of the turquoise waters of the surrounding inlet and sea.

Golfweek Magazine named the course one of the best in the Caribbean and Mexico in 2016.

... true hidden gem and a pleasure to play—a challenging, 7,210 yard, 18-hole, par 72 with water on three sides and incomparable natural beauty. The course is a true treasure for golfers, a chance to say they’ve played on “one of the 20 best and most fascinating courses in the world,"
